Who I Am

From communication design to worlds you can step into.

It started with communication design, a BA at KNUST, specializing in film and animation. I wanted to understand how images and systems actually reach people, not just how they look on a slide.

Six years in Ghana's creative industry pulled me further into motion: 3D animation, look development, compositing. Somewhere in there I started teaching. As a teaching assistant and supervisor at KNUST, I taught industry software to over 200 students and co-supervised final-year projects. Watching people turn technical skill into their own voice is what pulled me toward doing this on purpose. Along with a small group of collaborators, I co-founded 24FPS, a mentorship group and creative studio built around training and production for the next wave of animators coming up in Ghana.

Now I'm in an MFA in Design at The Ohio State University, working at the intersection of animation, immersive technology and cultural storytelling. The through-line hasn't changed: use whatever tool is in front of me, a rig, a shader, a camera, to make ideas people can actually feel.

How I Work & Think

I think about most of my work as responsive rather than passive. A composite should react to the shot around it. A tool should react to the person using it. A render shouldn't just look right in isolation. It has to hold up once it's moving, being touched, or sitting next to work by other people.

Cultural preservation

I don't treat immersive tech as a novelty. It's one of the better tools available for keeping African stories and knowledge legible for the people who come after us.

Innovation with a reason

A new tool is worth learning for what it lets you say, not for its own sake. I'd rather adopt something odd and useful than something safe and impressive.

Impact over inventory

Work that stays on a hard drive doesn't count. If it doesn't create real value for the people or communities it's made for, it isn't finished.

“I believe technology should expand human imagination, not limit it.”

The standard is simple: if I wouldn't put it in my own reel, it doesn't ship.
